Olivia looks for help and finds herself in the company of Dr. David Q Dawson, a optimistic surgeon who recently got a discharge from his military duty in Afganistan. Basil, a methodical detective who suffers from mental disorder, at first, pays no attention to Olivia’s story as he believes it is not significant until he realizes that Ratigan is behind all this. Ratigan is the movie’s primary antagonist, a criminal genius mouse who wants to rule the mouse kingdom by overthrowing the existing Mouse Queen with a robotic twin, built by Hiram against his will.

Basil, Dawson and Olivia go on a mission to stop him and they chase Fidget to a toy shop where he is pilfering items for Ratigan ‘ s schemes. They are just able to avoid being crushed to death by Fidget and are taken to Ratigan’s headquarters where they uncover the full details of his operation. Ratigan wants to take advantage of Hiram’s mechanical queen to announce that he is theMouse’s king.

The final scene of the film occurs at Buckingham Palace as the climax of Ratigan’s scheme. The mechanical queen comes alive and the greedy Ratigan proclaims himself a king. However, Basil and Dawson in the disguise of the royal guards sneak into the palace. The scene continues with an intense fight between Basil and the evil robot; in a violent struggle Basil knocks it off and unveils Ratigan’s plan.

In an exciting crescendo of the movie’s climax that occurs at the backdrop of the famous Big Ben clock tower, Basil and Ratigan duel it out. Love and war are depicted as imminent in a rather dangerous manner by way of the clock’s mechanisms. Lastly, Ratigan dies in the climax of the picture by falling from the clock tower with Fidget.

Having delivered a solid knock out blow to Ratigan, Hiram is united with Olivia and the mouse society is saved. Now Basil is a hero, he recalls the events with Dawson who chooses to stay with Basil all the time now as his partner.
